Red w/Saddle interior, 350/330hp LT-1, 4-spd. manual transmission.
The LT-1 was Corvette’s “last hurrah” as an ultimate performance engine of the ’70’s. After ’72, things started to take a turn, so to speak. And real Corvette (as well as everything else) performance took a bit of a sabbatical for a while. But from ’70-’72, you could order a real screamer in RPO LT-1! This got you a 350ci high revving, solid lifter small block, backed up with a M21 close ratio 4-speed manual and heavy-duty suspension.
This package gave you one of the best handling Corvettes of the era! The car was and has remained a total blast to drive!
So, we’ve all heard the “car in the barn” story in one form or another over the decades. Well, here’s a “car in the storage unit” story.
This LT-1 Convertible was found in a storage unit right here in So CA. where it had been for years! The car is very original, with the exception of a color change from War Bonnet Yellow to Mille Miglia Red. And also features a #’s matching LT-1 engine!
