Some of the coolest design work out there has to be found on the early Fords. With various trim designs, different fenders, unique grills and ornaments it seemed like every year brought a completely new unique look. Well the late 30's and early 40s presented one of the coolest looking classics out there. The large rounded fenders up front and pointed nose give the car a more streamline appearance than the earlier classics while still keeping the look we associate with the 30s. This 2 door 39 Ford Sedan is a nicely built car that has a lot going for it including a very reasonable price tag. It was repainted 2 years ago and wears a two tone Green and Black paint which has a beautiful finish. Very clean Gray pinstriping runs the entire length of the car separating the colors. A lot of the original style trim is in place as well as the front chrome bumper and new chrome grill. In back it has two small chrome bumpers mounted in place. The wheels with chrome flipper hubcaps look perfect on the car and are wrapped with Cooper Trendsetter tires.

Powering the car is a 327 motor combined with a Turbo 350 transmission. This motor and transmission combo is very reliable and easy to work on. Parts are not hard to chase down. The motor starts up smoothly and settles into a nice smooth idle. All of the components have been gone through and refreshed with any possible safety issues repaired. The car has a Ford rear end with a Mustang II style front end. Disc brakes are found up front and all are power assisted making the car a really easy driver. The car has a Gel battery with battery cutoff switch so you don't lose all of the charge if it happens to sit for a while.

The interior of the car is complete in a new two tone cloth and was really nicely done. It has bucket seats up front with a bench in the rear. A center console was made to provide extra storage as well as cupholders for front and rear passengers, a nice comfort feature often forgotten about when building a car. The overhead console houses the Sony AM/FM/CD player and 2 courtesy lights. A tilt steering column with column shift is in place and topped with an aftermarket leather wrapped steering wheel. On the dash you will find Dolphin gauges that were painted to match the exterior and the Vintage AC/Heat controls. The trunk is finished out as well with hidden extra storage compartments and a hidden compartment for the battery.

This is a well done car that has a great look and it drives out well. It is being offered of for a very reasonable price so if you are looking to get a street rod that won't break the bank this might be the one.
