This 1974 Plymouth Duster was built in Hamtramck, Michigan, and is said to have spent time in North Carolina before it was refurbished in 2008. Work at that time involved repainting the car in metallic gray, retrimming the interior in black vinyl, and installing black side stripes, dual snorkel hood scoops, and a rear wing. Also replacing the wiring harness, installing a 2.5″ dual exhaust system, rebuilding the front suspension and braking components, and installing a 340ci V8, a rebuilt three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and an 8¼” rear differential. Additional features include staggered-diameter wheels, Hooker long-tube headers, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo, and an AutoMeter tachometer.

Additional exterior details include dual-snorkel hood scoops and a Gull–style rear wing along with black sport mirrors and Duster badging. Black 14″ front and 15″ rear steel wheels with polished hubcaps are wrapped in 215/70 Kumho Solus TA11 tires up front and 275/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T rubber out back. The front suspension was rebuilt and features polygraphit, the previous owner stated the braking system was also overhauled with replacement front rotors and rear drums.

The front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in black vinyl, and the seller states that the dash pad, door panels, kick panels, carpeting, and sail panels were also replaced during the refurbishment. Interior appointments include a center console, three-point front seatbelts, pop-out rear windows, and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo connected to a Rockford Fosgate amplifier in the trunk. Wear is visible on various interior components, and the climate-control system is not connected, which the seller attributes to incompatibility with the replacement American Autowire wiring harness.

The 340ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt before it was installed under current ownership, and it is equipped with a polished air-cleaner assembly, an electric choke, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker long-tube headers, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Work in April 2023 reportedly included rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the battery, and changing the oil. A rebuilt three-speed 904 TorqueFlite automatic transmission and an 8¼” rear differential have been installed, per the seller. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system reportedly installed under current ownership with mandrel-bent 3″ tubing and Black Widow Venom 250 mufflers.

The fender tag in the engine bay reveals that the car was originally finished in Golden Fawn over Gold vinyl upholstery, powered by a 225ci slant-six paired with an automatic transmission, and scheduled for production on November 1, 1974.
