Here we have a very fine 1900 Daimler Double Six. The car comes in a lovely subtle colour combination and is in good condition.
The bodywork has been kept neatly. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned. The Silver finish has been carefully maintained and as a consequence only has few signs of use. The brightwork too is very presentable.
The fine leather upholstery is beginning to show signs of a lovely patina. The walnut burr dashboard and instrument panels are in a good state. That this Daimler Double Six is a luxury vehicle is obvious when you consider the availability of climate control and trip computer, common features these days though they are, back then it was a mark of quality, only found in top class cars.
This Daimler is as the name suggests fitted with the King of combustion engines, they V12. This one is a 5.3 litre attached to a 3-speed automatic. The engine develops 299 Ps and takes the Daimler to 100 km/hr in 8.4 seconds and keeps accelerating all the way up to 230 km/hr. The 91 litre tank also provides you with sufficient range on longer trips. The engine runs smoothly and the automatic shifts seamlessly.
This is a perfectly good working and grand looking Daimler Double Six. For you Dutch entrepreneurs it also carries Youngtimer tax benefits.
