On sale is this genuine Inka 3.0 CSL. Built by BMW on the 29th of January 1973 and delivered to BMW London Ltd. on the 24th of May 1973. Factory delivered in this color, 022 Inka Orange. The car comes with a large binder of history, has been restored completely and upgraded with 5-Speed Gearbox, Airconditioning and 16” genuine Alpina wheels. It’s a Matching numbers CSL with a rebuilt engine.

This CSL started life in the UK and has been under ownership of a mr. Smith of Wales, a large binder of invoices is present from Munich Legends, Jaymic and Linwar. Oldenzaal Classics has bought this CSL in 2017 and we have restored it for a Texas based customer. We’ve performed a complete restoration and mechanical rebuild. During the process we have added a couple of upgrades to make the car more useable and enjoyable over longer distances. Installation of a 5-speed, a cold blowing Airconditioning and 16 inch genuine Alpina wheels.

When this CSL came to Oldenzaal we performed the bodywork and had a complete repainted in the factory 022 Inka carried out professionally. It has all it’s CSL-specific aluminium parts: bonnet, trunk and doors are made of aluminium. The car was repainted fantastic is looking excellent. The car was assembled with great care of lots of new parts: All new beltline trim, new headlights, mirrors, rooftrim, emblems and more. It shows tinted glass in new gaskets, the rear bumper is the correct CSL black plastic one. A genuinely beautiful 3.0 CSL with a nice and straight body and beautiful trim.

The inside of the car was treated the same way. Restored beautiful, careful and with eye for originality. New carpets in black/anthracite loop material and with a nice set of floormats. The seats are the correct CSL Scheel seats that have been reupholstered correctly with black rib cloth and black vinyl. The trim on the sills have been polished to high-gloss, it has a new black (CSL-correct) headliner. The wood has been restored as well as the doorpanels. It has new doorgaskets, the correct 40 centimeter Petri steering wheel which has been reupholstered and a restored A/C center console with Bavaria S radio. It has new 3-point automatic seatbelts.

We have fitted the car with an OEM E9 A/C system. The interior consists of a factory A/C center console that has been reupholsted in black vinyl. The technical side is all new: New A/C compressor, condensor, drier, fan and wiring. The system blow cold on modern R134a gas.
The engine-bay of the CSi looks very fresh and correct. Perfect inner fenders with a new coat of Inka paint. It houses the matching numbers 3.0 Liter Inline six which has been rebuilt and has 6 new pistons. The engine runs beautiful and thanks to D-Jetronic injection it’s turn-key and makes 200 horsepowers. It has a maintainance free 123Ignition distributor with new cap, wires and plugs. All coolant hoses are new and it received a recent service with fluids and valve adjustment. The power is sent to the rear wheels through the 5-speed manual transmission which shifts excellent. The car is a joy to drive thanks to a light body and fresh suspension. The car sits on a set of restored genuine 16″ Alpina wheels with Michelin tires.

The trunk of the Coupe was nicely restored. New wooden panels we’re made and upholstered in the correct grey vinyl. The tools-tray is present and is complete with all tools. The trunk houses a powdercoated spare wheel, new tire and is complete with tool and jack.
