Sometimes you come across special things, and this is definitely one of them.
This is a Mercedes 190 SL from the original owner, who bought it new when he was 25 years old. He ordered it with all the options: power antenna, third seat, Becker Mexico radio, and left the hardtop in its original factory crate. The crate still has the original Mercedes stickers and lettering. The hardtop is dark blue, which combines beautifully with the gray bodywork, blue leather, and blue hardtop.
A few years later, he bought a Mercedes 230 SL Pagoda, in the exact same trim as the 190 SL (we also bought this car). In 1969, he deregistered the 190 SL and put it away. In 1990, he took the car to Mercedes for a complete mechanical restoration and a repaint of the exterior. He drove it for a few more years after that, but only occasionally for a pleasant drive. Now, after his death, the cars were allowed to be sold.
The 190 SL still has its original leather, the interior is in its original condition, the underbody is like new, and the hardtop is original. The car still has its original German registration and has 113.000 km on the clock. The original booklets are included. The chrome is beautifully original, and the seams are crisp. The paintwork is still in excellent condition. The soft top is like new, and the soft top cover has been replaced because the original one was missing. The leather is original and has a beautiful patina.
