Under the bonnet is the extremely reliable and very durable 2.0-litre diesel technology, a smooth-running engine with plenty of power. The bodywork is very sleek and flawless with neat paintwork. A timeless design and now an iconic status. The interior is extremely fresh and obviously treated with respect. The solid seats have neat upholstery with hardly any traces of age, the dashboard and steering wheel are also neat and tidy. There was no smoking in the car. Thanks to its solid construction extremely reliable and also great to drive. Original manuals and service history are present. The Mercedes Benz 190 series was a high-quality car, which, with proper handling and regular maintenance, managed to achieve extremely high mileage. In terms of both technology and sheet metal, the W201 series was virtually indestructible. This is certainly evident from the number of examples that still take part in daily traffic in the Netherlands alone today. Despite all initial scepticism, the 190 series turned out to be a hit: This model remained in production for 11 years. Not until 1993 was the model replaced by the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
