Beautiful MGB in a classy version with black leather interior and chrome wire wheels. Imported from California in 1996 and has belonged to two owners in the Netherlands since then, who have taken good care of it. The MGB is an automobile produced from 1962 to 1980, first by the British Motor Corporation and later by British Leyland. It came as a 2-door convertible with soft-top and from 1965 also as a GT coupe. Unlike the MGA, the MGB is no longer a Roadster, but a true convertible with swivelling windows and a folding soft-top. Introduced in 1962, the MGB is perhaps the most iconic British sports car of all time. With its clean lines, low seating position and open roof, the MGB offered a pure, unfiltered driving experience that captivated generations of car enthusiasts. Under the bonnet was a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine, good for around 95bhp, mated to a four-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive. Although performance is modest by modern standards, the MGB's low weight (about 950 kg) makes it a surprisingly lively and enjoyable car to drive. The chassis, with independent front suspension and rear axle with leaf springs, provides a fine balance between comfort and driving pleasure. The characteristic engine sound and direct steering feel make every drive a nostalgic pleasure. The design is classically British: a long bonnet, low doors, chrome details and the typical oval MG logo on the grille. The interior is simple but functional, with analogue clocks, a wooden steering wheel and comfortable leather seats.
