Neat MG MGB in stylish GT trim! This example was first registered in 1975. This is a very well cared for copy with extremely fine engineering and therefore also very tight and pleasant to drive. The lively 1800 cc engine runs great and provides plenty of power. As a much-appreciated accessory, this MG is fitted with an overdrive gearbox which provides more peace of mind and driving pleasure at higher speeds and longer distances. The bodywork is in very clean and pristine condition, having been nicely repainted in the past. Underside and chassis very cool and solid. The interior is typically understated 70s with only the essentials present. Still special but 73709 km. The car was sold new in Switzerland and came to the Netherlands in 2005. Equipped with nice options: leather sports seats, overdrive, power brakes, wire wheels. At the 1964 Brussels Salon, Coune presented a coupe version of the MGB. The changes were not limited to a simple hardtop: thanks to parts from Renault and Simca, among others, he designed a car with its own personality, with a sloping roofline and a Ferrari-like rear end. The design was so well received that Coune decided to produce it. Spurred on by this success, MG introduced the MGB GT in 1965 . This closed version was also known as 'poor man's Aston Martin'. The GT also owed its beautiful lines partly to the interference of the grand master of body shapes: Pininfarina, who also built the prototype.
