Beautiful Mercedes-Benz 280 CE with a wealth of history, including the original booklets, Cardex card, and extensive maintenance history. Imported into the Netherlands in 2009, it has 96,540 km on its odometer, recorded on the periodic vehicle inspection (APK) form. This first Dutch owner has meticulously maintained everything. A truly well-maintained enthusiast's car.

The exterior looks pristine; the Distelsilber metallic color suits the 280 beautifully, especially in combination with the green-tinted glass and the classic crown-cork rims. These rims were powder-coated in 2015 and fitted with excellent tires. The doors still close securely, as a Mercedes should have in the old days. The coupe retains some of its original paint, and the known weak spots have been carefully addressed. In 2011, the underbody was treated with Tectyl by the Dinitrol Center in Leeuwarden, and the original sunroof controls were replaced, including new roof sweeps. While there are some signs of wear and tear, the overall appearance is very neat.

The interior is completely original and exceptionally well-preserved. The fabric on the seats is remarkably pristine, and the carpeting and floor mats look practically new. Both seats are height-adjustable and offer excellent comfort. Between the spacious seats is the beloved center armrest, a must-have for a W123. The dashboard features a tachometer, which cost 233 German marks at the time. Also available for a substantial surcharge is the iconic Becker Mexico radio-cassette recorder with a motorized antenna and additional speakers with a fader. Everything still works perfectly. The original headliner is perfectly dry, including the one around the sunroof. Other extras include an electrically adjustable right-hand door mirror, a Halon fire extinguisher, and a set of coconut floor mats. The 280 CE has been excellently maintained; a service was performed just 1,800 km ago, including two new tires, a new battery, and a periodic vehicle inspection (MOT). The bearing bushing in the automatic transmission was also replaced, and the shift points were adjusted. At 109,081 km, the cylinder head was overhauled and the exhaust manifold was replaced. The exhaust was then replaced during the MOT. The valves have just been adjusted and the brake fluid changed.
