Take a sharp-looking, pre-war classic, combine it with some tastefully aggressive exterior modifications, then add in supercharged big block power, and you can't help but have yourself the prescription for a truly awesome ride! It's a prescription that was closely followed when building this 1939 Packard 120 Pro Street. With its high-impact black paint draped over the front grille, its deleted bumpers, and shaved door handles, this is a truly awesome finished result that's sure to impress, even before you fire it up, tap on the accelerator, and witness the top-level power at your disposal. Flush-mounted taillights and a third brake light add to its signature look from the back while offering an added measure of safety, and the painted trim surrounding the cockpit windows really looks great. Inside the doors, the tan, vinyl-clad split bench seat provides plenty of comfort for even longer journeys and, along with the matching door panels, creates a very effective visual contrast to the black painted dash area, where you'll find an assembly of clear aftermarket gauges inside the instrument cluster. Unlike many of the offerings in its segment, this '39 sports some welcome convenience features in the form of power windows, a remote-opening trunk, and cruise control. While the air conditioning system will need a bit of attention to get back online, all the components are in place, so this should be a pretty minor fix. There's also a Kenwood AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth connectivity on board, so you won't run out of audio options anytime soon. The builder of this Packard obviously subscribed to the notion that "there's no replacement for displacement," but then even ratcheted things up a notch from there. You'll find an expansive 454-cubic-inch V8 lurking inside a well-maintained compartment. Fed by a pair of Carter carburetors and enhanced by a Littlefield supercharger, it goes without saying that this powerplant can liquify tires with very little effort. The engine exhales into a pair of headers leading to a dual side-exit exhaust and pairs with a 3-speed automatic TH400 shifting at the top of its game. Power steering makes this cruiser easy to navigate, while four-wheel power disc brakes bring it to a stop quickly. And, with both front and rear aftermarket suspensions added to the mix, you'll enjoy a more refined ride than you'd normally expect, with minimal body roll around corners.
