Chassis No. 75 In 2013, four titans of motorsport expertise consisting of OAK Racing, Onroak Automotive, Sodemo Moteurs, and Tork Engineering came together to form a French super partnership in the name of racecar building excellence. With the blessing of Guy Ligier, famed French Formula One team owner and endurance racing virtuoso, the newly formed Ligier Automotive quickly made a name for itself as a winning sportscar racing manufacturer. Built by Onroak Automotive, Ligier’s dedicated manufacturing arm, the Ligier JS P3 was conceived as a purpose-built prototype engineered to the new ACO LMP3 regulations and designed to compete in the most distinguished prototype series worldwide—from the Asian and European Le Mans Series to the IMSA Prototype Challenge. The JS P3 became one of the most successful chassis at its level with more than 100 wins recorded following its debut at Le Mans in 2015. The JS P320 was crafted as its successor to conform to the second generation LMP3 ruleset in 2020 to further expand the championships it could race in. While the P320 was primarily offered as a kit for the JS P3, it was anything but a simple upgrade—equipped with 95-percent new bodywork, a more powerful Nissan 5.0-liter V8 with a 35-horsepower boost over its predecessor, Öhlins dampers, new adaptive cooling system, better driver comfort, and traction control under the new LMP3 regulations. The JS P320 continued Ligier’s dominance, winning nearly every type of LMP3 championship between 2020 and 2024 at least once. Originally constructed in JS P3 specification, chassis number 75 was campaigned full-time by stalwart British outfit Nielsen Racing from 2017 to 2024—amassing three championship titles on the back of 21 wins and a remarkable 42 podiums. Ran in partnership with Le Mans old guard Écurie Écosse for its debut season, which coincided with the inaugural season for the 2017 British LMP3 Cup, the car finished on the podium in 10 out of the 12 races, and won six races including the very first event at Donington Park—running away with its first title that year. That same year, it claimed victory in the opening race of the newly established Michelin Le Mans Cup and, along with three additional second place finishes, a richly deserved second place in the Championship. The following season brought a second consecutive British LMP3 championship, with chassis 75 winning six races and finishing on the podium in 11 out of the 12 rounds. From 2019 onward, Nielsen Racing expanded their campaign to the Asian Le Mans Series, where chassis 75 recorded multiple wins and podium finishes over the next three seasons. Upgraded to JS P320 specification for 2021, the prototype secured the Michelin Le Mans Cup title that year and further broadened its resume with entries in the European Le Mans Series. The racecar, not seven seasons into its competitive career, scored respectable results through to its final race in the 2024 Le Mans Cup, bookending its storied racing pedigree with a second-place finish in Portimão. Nielsen Racing has confirmed that chassis 75 concluded its Michelin Le Mans Cup campaign with 8,778.7 kilometers on the engine—a testament to the proven durability and meticulous stewardship that enabled its long and decorated competition career. Purchased by the consignor in 2019, this highly successful LMP3 prototype remains in the condition in which it finished at its final race, preserving the team's signatures plus the dirt, bugs, and battle scars it collected in its final competitive outing at the legendary Algarve Circuit. It is furnished with three sets of spare wheels, plus an extensive and captivating record of its race history on file and available to review. Boasting such a successful competition record, this Ligier JS P320 is a prime representative of one of the most dominant Le Mans Prototypes of the 2020s so far; a potent track weapon eligible for prestigious historic motorsport events such as Historic Sportscar Racing. Combined with the inherently accessible nature of the LMP3 platform, it presents a rare opportunity for drivers to experience genuine championship-winning prototype performance that bridges the gap between cutting-edge racing technology and historic motorsport.
