Chassis No. ZFFKW66A290167100 Announced at the Ferrari World Finals in November 2008, the Scuderia Spider 16M honored the marque’s record 16th Constructors’ Championship in Formula One. The special model would be built in just 499 units and based on the 430 Scuderia, carrying over its 4.3-liter V8, F1 SuperFast2 transmission, and E-Diff coupled with the F1-Trac traction control system, but paired them with an open body reinforced for torsional rigidity. Compared with the berlinetta, the 16M gained approximately 220 pounds for its braced Spider chassis yet notably remained 176 pounds lighter than a standard F430 Spider. At launch, the Scuderia Spider 16M was the quickest open Ferrari ever to lap the Fiorano test track. To differentiate this commemorative model, Ferrari equipped the carbon-fiber rear diffuser—an option on the 430 Scuderia—as standard and added “16M” badging along with a silver “limited series” dashboard plaque. The exterior could also be specified with bespoke liveries from the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme, including a center stripe running the length of the car. Inside, the cockpit was less austere than that of the 430 Scuderia, with the lower area trimmed with Alcantara and carbon fiber floormats rather than bare aluminum. This spectacular left-hand drive, U.S.-delivery example was factory specified in classic Rosso Corsa with the sporting Nero (Black) racing stripe livery. Sought after factory exterior equipment includes its Giallo-finished brake calipers and Carbon Fiber Vehicle Package (CEXP). The interior is well appointed with large-size carbon-fiber Racing Seats trimmed in Nero Alcantara with Rosso Tessuto (woven) cloth inserts, detailed with Rosso contrast stitching and Cavallino-embroidered headrests. According to its original service and warranty booklet, chassis 167100 was delivered new via Ferrari of Houston to its first owner in Miami Beach, Florida, on 30 March 2009. The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History report shows that the 16M was serviced by The Collection in Coral Gables in September 2009, showing 954 miles at the time. By the summer of 2010, the car passed to a new owner and received multiple services from Southern California Ferrari dealers throughout that year. The car briefly returned to Florida from 2011 until mid-2012, when it entered new ownership in Michigan showing 3,980 miles. The Ferrari remained in Michigan over the next decade, receiving services from official Ferrari agency Cauley Ferrari in the early 2020s before passing to the current New Jersey-based owner. In current ownership, the 16M received a comprehensive service in October 2025 courtesy of official Ferrari agency Wide World Ferrari in Spring Valley, New York, which included an oil and filter change, a brake-fluid flush, replacing the window switches, application of full-body paint protection film, and mounting of four new Michelin tires followed by an alignment. Now offered with 6,684 miles at the time of cataloging, and accompanied by its owner’s manuals, tool pouch, tire compressor, and car cover, this rare track-focused, limited-edition spider ranks among Maranello’s modern masterpieces and is ready to be enjoyed for its blistering performance.
