Chassis No. ZFFYT53B000127736 Unveiled a year after the 360 Modena in 2000, the Ferrari 360 Spider earned immediate acclaim from the motoring press for its remarkably minimal compromises compared to its Modena berlinetta sibling. Adding just 120 pounds while sacrificing a mere 5 km/h of top speed, the Spider retained the full 400-CV output of the 3.6-liter V8, with the considerable benefit of experiencing the shrieking exhaust note from an open cockpit. Completed in March 2002 as a left-hand drive, European-market example, this 360 Spider is finished in timeless Rosso Corsa over Charcoal leather with a Nero soft top, and it is crucially equipped with the desirable six-speed gated manual transmission. The original service and warranty booklet documents delivery through Symbol Automobile SA of Matran, Switzerland, on 27 March 2002 to its first owner, Walter Wassmer of Arboldswil. Service stamps show the car returning to the selling dealer for scheduled maintenance, including its 10,000-km service at 11,144 kilometers in 2005 and its 30,000-km service at 28,727 kilometers in 2011. Later stamps and invoices reflect continued Swiss care, including servicing at Sportgarage Leirer in 2015 and significant work in 2019, highlighted by a major timing-belt service and a new alternator at approximately 62,000 kilometers. Remarkably, the 360 remained with its original owner until 2019, passing next to another Swiss Ferrari collector before joining the current, third caretaker in 2023. Under current ownership, Garage 1947 Classics has overseen regular annual servicing and ongoing sorting. In 2023 at 69,280 kilometers, work included timing-belts replacement, new front brake discs and pads, and new tires, followed by an annual service in 2024 at 74,355 kilometers. A more extensive visit in 2025 addressed key items including replacement of the oil cooler, repair and recharge of an air-conditioning system, rectification of the common “sticky buttons” issue, replacement of a gearbox mount, among other smaller items. The current owner reports the Spider has been enjoyed on weekends in France, Italy, and Monaco, never raced, and never driven in winter—performing flawlessly on tour and delivering the kind of rewarding, open-gated Ferrari experience that defines the model. Showing 83,905 km at the time of cataloging, this well-maintained example with its desirable gated six-speed manual is now ready to deliver the same rewarding, open-air Ferrari experience to its next caretaker.
