Vendor states:

The Triumph Super 7 was manufactured from 1927 to 1934. It was produced as a response to the success of the Austin 7 and was Triumpha€™s first car to be made in large numbers. The Super 7a€™s development started in 1925 when Triumph recruited Stanley Edge who had been the original draughtsman for the Austin 7. The car was launched in September 1927. It was slightly wider than the Austin and carried a new 832cc, 4 cylinder, side valve engine.

A range of body styles was available. The cheapest model was a two-door, four seat tourer, followed by a de-luxe tourer, a two-seater with dickey seat (of which KJ 8653 is an example), a two-door saloon, a fabric bodied saloon and, at the top of the range, a coachbuilt saloon. Prices ranged from £113 for the chassis to £190 for the coachbuilt saloon. In 1929 the a€˜Special Sportsa€™ with pointed tail was added to the range.

The Super 7 was gradually replaced from 1933 by the Super 8.
