- Overall the bike sold well enough throughout the USA and Europe. Yamaha changed the name to XS500 in 1975 and over the years it has become a cult basis for custom bikes based on the reliable engine and frame
- This original example was imported from the USA in 2018 and is now UK-registered and in running order
