While it may be almost impossible to get your hands on one of the original 2,000 or so GT500s made, and even harder to find one of the three original movie star-cars that survived the filming of Gone in 60 Seconds, thankfully, we have this stunning 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 Eleanor Tribute ready to go home with you today. Fully repainted in the movie-correct Grey with black racing stripes, this Tribute sports an ultra-aggressive pinned hood, centrally mounted lower grille lights, upper and lower quarter panel scoops, a ducktail-style rear spoiler, side-exit exhaust, GT500 rocker panel stripes, and a lowered stance that is equal parts form and function that would make any passersby instantly starstruck at the sight of this radiant restomod. Inside, we find a beautifully hardcore interior. A center console separates a pair of bucket seats, each outfitted with a racing harness to hold both driver and passenger firmly in place, while a roll cage adds another level of safety and rigidity to the feel from behind the wood-rimmed power-assisted wheel. A massive column-mounted 10,000-rpm tachometer, complete with a shift light, sits ahead of a set of white-faced Classics Instruments Shelby gauges. A Hurst shifter provides all the entertainment you'll need, but there is a Custom Autosound AM/FM/AUX head unit, complete with kick panel speakers, if you want a soundtrack to add to your drive outside of the rumble from those wicked sidepipes. A dummy Nitrous switch adds a nice touch, as does the Carroll Shelby signature on the dashboard. Under that aggressive hood, we find an even more aggressive motor. Beneath the trick Jim Inglese 8-stack fuel injection setup sits a big Dart Iron Eagle 351ci block that has been bored and stroked out to 427 cubic inches of fun. With just 76 miles on it since it was built, this motor sports a Holley Terminator X fuel management system, Dart rotating assembly, AFR heads, long tube headers, and sweet-sounding FlowMaster mufflers. Power is routed through a tried-and-true Tremec five-speed manual transmission before heading out to the nine-inch Detroit Locker rear end. Four-wheel power disc brakes are highlighted by a Wilwood master cylinder and matching Wilwood calipers, to go along with eye-catching slotted and cross-drilled rotors. If you've always adored Eleanor as much as Memphis Raines and we do, but couldn't find or afford one of those three vehicles, then this incredible tribute is the car you've been waiting for, and this one you can have without committing a felony. But it would be a crime to wait any longer, because this one will be gone ... soon. Call today!
