The 2019 Morgan Plus 4 Club Sport is a limited edition model (only 15 were produced) of the traditional Plus 4, featuring unique aesthetic elements and a handling pack for a sportier, yet comfortable, driving experience. It was designed to be a fun road car that could also be used for hill-climbs, sprints and in their Morgan Challenge race series, and driven to and from the event.

They were powered by a Ford 2.0-litre GDI four-cylinder engine producing close to 190bhp in Club Sport spec (re-mapped ECU and sports exhaust) and mated to a 5-speed Mazda MX5 gearbox. The specification was unique to the Club Sport and included the following;

• Remapped ECU and sports exhaust, oil cooler
• Panhard rod and four externally adjustable dampers
• Competition brake pads and racing brake fluid
• 6.5 x 15" bolt on sports wheels and 195/55/15 Toyo R888R tyres
• Lightweight interior style with no interior trim or carpet, interior surfaces finished in aluminium, body-coloured painted dashboard, suede 14" racing steering wheel, integral seat belt bar
• Rear roll-bar, removable side protection bars, Tillett race seat and brackets (this car actually has two fitted), six-point race harnesses, battery cut-off switch, fire extinguisher kit
• Rear FIA rain light, front and rear towing straps, set of bonnet pins, race roundels, safety sticker kit
• Weather equipment (black PVC hood and side-screens), quick-release traditional style windscreen with electric heating, driver-side Aeroscreen, removable spare wheel cover

This smart example is one of the 15 Limited Edition Club Sport cars built in 2019 and has been enjoyed by two registered keepers from new including our vendor who has owned it for the last three years, but used it on the road only. It has covered just 9,305 miles from new and remains in excellent condition. Today it is ready to use and comes with a spare set of wheels shod with racing tyres, generously included. Super value for money and a great way to enjoy fun motorsport on a reasonable budget with the added bonus of being able to drive home without messing about with trailers etc. Just like the old days!
