A rare opportunity to acquire a collector-grade Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R M-Spec, finished in the highly desirable WV2 Sparkling Silver and presented in outstanding, largely original condition. Freshly imported from Japan and showing one UK owner, this example carries a strong Japanese auction Grade 4.5, no accident history, and a complete Nissan service record from new.

Introduced towards the latter part of R34 GT-R production, the M-Spec represented a more considered interpretation of Nissan’s flagship performance model. Rather than chasing outright aggression, it was designed to appeal to a more mature buyer — one who appreciated the GT-R’s formidable capability but valued comfort, ride quality and craftsmanship in equal measure. Based on the V-Spec II, the M-Spec retained the advanced ATTESA E-TS Pro four-wheel-drive system and Super-HICAS rear steering, but introduced Ripple Control dampers to deliver a more compliant and composed ride on real roads.

Production was limited to just 366 cars worldwide, making the M-Spec one of the rarest factory R34 variants. Of those, only 112 were finished in WV2 Sparkling Silver, widely regarded as one of the most elegant colours available on the R34 platform and one that highlights the car’s muscular yet restrained styling particularly well.

The exterior of this example presents exceptionally well, with paintwork that remains bright, even and consistent throughout. Importantly, the underside tells the same story — clean, original and unmolested. Given how many R34s have since been heavily modified, restored or rebuilt at significant cost, the originality of this car is a notable and increasingly valuable attribute.

Inside, the M-Spec’s bespoke cabin sets it apart from other GT-R variants. The factory leather seats, complete with integrated heaters, remain in very good condition, showing only minimal wear and avoiding the cracking commonly seen on lesser examples. Aside from the gear knob, the interior remains entirely standard, retaining its original steering wheel, pedals, mats, gaiters and trim, all contributing to a strong sense of authenticity.

Mechanically, the car remains close to factory specification. The legendary RB26DETT engine retains its original airbox, exhaust and factory boost settings, delivering smooth, progressive performance with stable oil pressure and correct operating temperatures. A Nismo clutch and flywheel have been fitted, providing a discreet OEM-plus upgrade that enhances durability while preserving factory driving characteristics.

The car is supplied with a full Nissan Japanese service history from new, with mileage entries that support the indicated 51,890km (32,243 miles). The cambelt was replaced in Japan on 24/12/2021 at 50,344km, and upon its arrival the car was serviced with new oil, oil filter and fuel filter.

As global demand for R34 GT-Rs continues to strengthen, collectors are increasingly focused on limited-production variants in original condition with known history. The M-Spec sits firmly within that bracket, combining rarity, refinement and long-term collectability.

This is a particularly well-presented example of one of the most desirable modern Japanese performance icons.
