Originally acquired by Derek in America in 2009, the truck was reimagined on a 1980 GMC chassis. After purchase, Derek drove the truck across the United States, visiting shows and events on the way to Los Angeles, earning recognition and awards for its distinctive character. Once imported to the UK, it made appearances at major automotive gatherings, including Goodwood, where Brian May played guitar on the back. In 2018 Derek subsequently converted the truck into a fully functional car transporter, complete with an electronic winch on the rear, making it ideal for transporting classic cars safely and with ease. It was used in all episodes of the TV series “The Repair Lot” on Discovery TV.
