The company was founded in 1973 in Miami, Florida managed by Charlie Massing, production of automobiles and kit cars began under the brand CMC in 1978. According to two sources, George Levin took over the company in 1978 and expanded it to become one of the largest in the industry and offered many different models. In the 1980s, Fiberfab Inc. was acquired but production ended in 1996 but after the dissolution, the company initially operated as Street Beasts and then as Tiffany Cars.
Built on the Mercury Cougar chassis and modelled on 1930's luxury cars, this retro five-seater boasts a 5.0 litre V8 multipoint fuel injected engine coupled to a smooth automatic gearbox. This example was sent from Florida and spent much of its early life in the UAE, finished in white with an abundance of chrome and with luxury grey leather trim. The car boasts electric windows, mirrors, a glass sunroof, cruise control, power steering and air conditioning all controlled inside while sitting behind a full digital dash of the 80's which at the time of consignment is in fully working order. These are becoming rarer and, in this condition, fully working and with such low mileage this is a collector's item, ideal for film work or occasions with the oversized headlights, huge curving fenders and side exit exhausts. Underneath this example shows its little use incredibly well with the car appearing like new, due to its existence in the UAE it has escaped the usual pitfalls of the colder climbs but has been recommission with a new fuel tank and fuel pump, indeed it starts on the button. Supplied with a UK NOVA number and taxes paid this can be registered in the UK or anywhere in the world. If you want to turn heads nothing will do it quite like a CMC Tiffany.
