2004 Triumph Rocket III (2.3 litre)
Price on request

The Triumph Rocket III is a British-built cruiser motorcycle that made a huge impact when it launched as Triumph's flagship model. It was notable for featuring the largest production motorcycle engine in the world at the time, a 2,294cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine delivering around 140 hp and massive torque low in the rev range, which gave it sensational straight-line performance and effortless cruising power. Built on a robust tubular steel twin-spine frame, the Rocket III paired its giant engine with a five-speed gearbox and shaft final drive, chosen for durability and clean operation. The chassis used 43 mm upside-down front forks and twin rear shocks with adjustable preload, while stopping power came from twin 320 mm front discs and a single 316 mm rear disc. At roughly 320 kg with a low seat height, it's a big, heavy motorcycle designed not for agility but for presence and relaxed high-speed cruising. Its unique look, dominated by the large engine and triple exhausts made it instantly recognisable.

Originally registered on 3rd August 2004, this handsome motorcycle presents in unmarked condition. The black and silver paintwork was done by 8 Ball Paintwork and is believed to be one of only two commissioned by Triumph. This is complemented by an upgraded exhaust system, fitted from new, which looks and sounds fantastic. We are advised it rides well and as a touring machine, it would be hard to beat. The 2,294cc three-cylinder engine runs well and is very long-legged. It is supplied with a V5 registration document, together with some service invoices and a current MoT test certificate valid until 15th May 2026. With only one previous keeper, the Rocket III set the tone for a line of Rocket models that continued to evolve, cementing its reputation as a bold and distinctive cruiser in Triumph's line-up. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
