  • The embodiment of traditional English elegance, the Rolls-Royce 25/30 is a quintessential mid-1930s pre-war limousine
  • Heavier coachwork needed more power and the 25/30’s inline six-cylinder, overhead-valve engine received an increase in displacement to 4,257cc (from 3,699cc) and, in conjunction with a new specialty Stromberg downdraught carburettor now offered 90hp, sufficient to restore the status quo
  • This particular 1937 model was bodied from new by Hooper as an 'Enclosed Limousine', finally bringing the poor old chauffeur in from the cold
  • There is very little early history with #GRP 25 apart from a period copy of a sales/customer list from RR or possibly Hooper showing that it was one of four 25/30 Enclosed Limousines purchased new by Robert French Esq.
  • Prior to our vendor, the Rolls was a wedding car owned by Ted Parker's 'Lucie's Cars'. Ted was a well known and much respected restorer and may have been responsible for the car's restoration
  • Purchased by our vendor on 26/09/2008, the history file contains numerous invoices for maintenance and servicing from 2009 up to 2022 including Bath Performance Cars totalling £3,860, Bath Classic - £4,241 and Fiennes Restoration on 22/07/2010 (gearbox and clutch) - £6,857
  • The history file also contains photos from its wedding car days, MOTs back to 1996 - most recent on 22/07/2024 at 28,195 miles, tax discs, V5c etc
