- Restored from a donor car showing fewer than 20,000 miles, the bodyshell was stripped to bare metal and repainted throughout including the underside, the interior retrimmed with new headlining, door cards and carpets, late 1990s Cooper seats retrimmed in black leather and houndstooth cloth, and fitted with 4.5" wide Cooper S steel wheels finished in silver
- The refurbished 1,098cc engine is fitted with a 12G295 Mini Cooper cylinder head converted for unleaded use and mildly flowed, coupled to a brand new gearbox and clutch housing built with new bearings and synchromesh, a 3.44:1 final drive, 7.5" Cooper S front brakes with matching rear brakes, dual circuit master cylinder and renewed suspension
- Modifications include heavy-duty adjustable front tie rods, modern sound and heat insulation fitted throughout the cabin, a hidden Bluetooth stereo system mounted beneath the rear seat with USB provision, and a replacement wiring loom routed for a neater installation within the engine bay
- Completed early last year following approximately 150 to 200 hours of work, the restoration included cavity wax protection applied while the shell was inverted on a rotisserie, fitment of a new rear subframe, refurbishment and repainting of the original front subframe, and refinishing of suspension and ancillary components, with 18 miles covered since completion
- Built for road use incorporating revised gearing, additional insulation and extensive structural protection, this fabulous Mini has covered less than 20 miles since completion
