  • Bicycle manufacturing came in the late 1890s before the company introduced motorcycles in the very early 1900s
  • Two motorcycles were produced, a 2hp Minerva-powered version and a 3hp Fafnir-powered version, both made in very small numbers
  • Only two examples are known to still exist
  • This Minerva-powered bike has been owned by the same family since the 1950s
  • Displayed in the family's motorcycle business in Leeds until the early 2000s
  • Has been known to run but not started for some time, so will need recommissioning before use
  • Presented in an older restoration condition and appears to be mostly original
  • Direct belt driven machine that would have been fitted with a 'trembler box' ignition system (included in the sale) now fitted with a 6v battery ignition
