- The Mercedes-Benz 190E (W201) was launched in 1982 as the compact executive saloon in the Stuttgart marque’s range, admired for its engineering quality and understated style
- 1985 saw the arrival of the first 190E fitted with a six-cylinder engine, the M103.940 fuelled through the BOSCH KE-Jetronic injection system and offering a substantial 164bhp
