Estimated Price: £6,000 - £8,000
- The FIAT X1/9, designed by Bertone, was launched in 1972 quickly becoming the world's first truly successful mass-produced, mid-engined sportscar
- When Fiat decided to end production in 1982, Bertone took over the entire manufacturing process and marketed the car under its own brand. These later models are officially Bertone X1/9s and feature "Bertone" badging, deeper footwells and other details
- Attractively presented in Black (Noir-601) with smart multi-coloured cloth and grey leathercloth seats and black trim. The odometer displayed 24,331 miles at the time of cataloguing, although this is not warranted
- The car has been subject to significant expenditure over the past few years with Kent-based specialist Maidstone Sports Cars. There is an invoice dated March 2022 totalling £5,224 for an engine service, replacement of suspension bushings as well as the fitting of new pads and discs with further works to the brakes plus a host of ancillary costs
- Further expenditure in September/November 2025 included a new carb, the choke converted from an automatic to a manual system, fuel tank drained and cleaned with a new fuel pump and filter installed, at a total cost of of £2,912
- Though production ended in 1989, the X1/9 continues to captivate with its timeless appeal and connection to a great era of sports car design. Offered without reserve, we welcome your inspection and interest at our NEC Sale
