Here we have a very straightforward 1972 Ford F-100 short-bed pickup finished in non-metallic Burgundy. The stance is just right thanks to the 20-inch wheels, and the front bumper, grille, and trim present very well. Out back, the bumper has been deleted for a clean, fresh look. A black spray-in bed liner covers the entire bed, including the top rails. The tinted windows look great, and the rubber seals and weatherstripping allow the doors and hood to open and shut with a solid feel. This is a simple truck-and that's exactly what makes it so appealing. It has plenty of presence without trying too hard.

Inside, the brown door cards are in good shape and contrast nicely with the King Ranch weathered saddle 70/30 bench seats, which also show well. Black carpet has been installed and pairs nicely with the black dash pad and Grant steering wheel. Burgundy paint surrounds the cabin, matching the exterior while giving the interior a cohesive look. A monster AutoMeter tachometer sits in front of the otherwise stock gauge cluster, with three auxiliary gauges mounted down to the right. On the floor is a B&M shifter, and the dash houses a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Aux head unit with Bluetooth. Just like the exterior, the interior is simple but very well done.

Under the hood is where things get serious. Instead of plain and simple, this truck packs a serious punch with a big stroker 528 cubic-inch V8. Cooling comes from an aluminum radiator, while the engine itself features a Scat crank, forged rods, Icon forged pistons, MSD ignition, and a Weiand aluminum intake topped with a 4-barrel carburetor. Power is sent through a built C6 3-speed automatic with heavy-duty clutches and a remote transmission cooler mounted under the bed with its own fan. Out back is a Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.70:1 gears. The truck rides on lowered factory-style suspension, front and rear. A nice set of 20-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in 245/40ZR20 front and 305/35ZR20 rear tires are installed. Front power disc brakes and rear power drum brakes handle stopping duties, while long-tube headers, dual exhaust, and Turbo mufflers help the big 528 breathe.
