The first-generation Transit, also known as the Transit Mark I in the United Kingdom, was introduced in October 1965. This generation replaced not only the Ford Taunus Transit produced by Ford Cologne, but also the Ford Thames 400E sold in the United Kingdom. The Transit was the first collaboration between the German Ford-Werke GmbH and Ford of Britain, which led to the establishment of Ford of Europe in 1967. This generation of Transits remained virtually unchanged until 1978. A major facelift followed only after ten years. After this, the car remained in production for another ten years, until it was replaced by an entirely new generation on a new platform.

This For Transit we're showcasing is an original car with just 24.380 km on the odometer and still in its first paint. This is a rarity, and we dare say we didn't expect it, but it's true! You buy a Transit to drive and transport, and that's not the case with this Transit. The interior also looks brand new and is finished in two colors: yellow and black. It runs, brakes, and steers like new. All in all, a truly unique car.
