- The Motobécane Mobylette AV44 is a classic French moped produced between 1960 and 1969 and was a pivotal model for Motobécane, aimed at providing affordable everyday transport
- It was designed as a rugged, budget-friendly utility model that transitioned the brand from traditional tubular frames to modern pressed-steel construction
- 'Powered' by a 49cc single-cylinder two-stroke air-cooled engine producing approximately 2bhp at 4,500 rpm, with a top speed of around 30 mph
- This bike is an older restoration, but still presents well and looks smart in its Coffee and Cream livery, with a lovely gentle patina
- Supplied with a folder of paperwork including correspondence from the East Anglian Cyclemotor Club, photos of the restoration, old invoices and a current V5C
- Though part of our vendor's collection for many years, it has been regularly started and run-up to temperature but may need some light recommissioning prior to any return to the road
