The owner has kindly provided the following information:

“Wilf Owens purchased in 1964. Last used by him in 1973.

Bought by myself in August 1998. Engine & gearbox total rebuild by Vincent engineer Bob Dunn.

Comprising of new Alpha big end, Dot 3 mains, steel overside liner bored to correct fit into alloy muffs, valves and guides (inlet guides with oil seals). Timing side, steel idler and steel boss, MK2 cams, twin start oil pump, new handed monoblocs, V3 clutch with a special ‘dry’ friction and steel plates.

Wheels rebuilt with s/s spokes, flanges, Avon tyres and tubes, alloy front brake plates with oversize Ferodo AM4 linings, machined to give 100% contact on new ribbed drums.

Magneto fully serviced by Mike Darlington, new platinum points (0012"). Manual advance (slack wire) magneto kill switch on handle bar, red mark on switch is live. New Chinamo, 12-volts.

Paintwork by C&G Finishes (Vincent Specialists since 1953), stove enamel to ‘super black spec’.”
