- The 2009 BMW HP2 Sport is widely considered the ultimate evolution of the air-cooled "oilhead" boxer engine, representing BMW’s peak factory performance before the launch of the S1000RR superbike. It was produced in extremely limited numbers, with fewer than 400 units made globally during its 2007–2009 production run.
