Here we have a very rare and desirable example, a BMW 635 CSi Automatic finished in Henna red with beige leather. Finished off with a lovely set of 17”bolted cross spoke alloy wheels shod in a matching set of Continental tyres, and a BMW boot spoiler, it looks amazing. The BMW was restored some years ago but, as you will see, has not been used and is still in the best condition. It comes with a set of photographs showing how much work went into it and the attention to detail, which is still very evident now.
The BMW was supplied in 1984 to its first owner by Jacksons of Guernsey, the BMW dealer for the Channel Islands. It is RHD UK specification and it would appear from the paperwork that it went into Spain, living in Malaga and Fuengirola. It came back to the UK on 15/10/1992 and according to the HPi has only had two owners since 1992. Amongst the paperwork, there is all the import documentation confirming the details are correct from the DVLA.
The paperwork is very comprehensive with lots of invoices and receipts, along with a host of older MOTs and the aforementioned photographs. The BMW is MOT’d until July this year, even though it doesn’t need one, giving you an indication of how well it has been carted for. The paperwork carries on with some information from the BMW Car Club and, what is a great thing to have, the original white book pack complete with owner’s handbooks and a service book containing a combination of 18 stamps. How good is that? The white service book pack is almost impossible to find now and worth a lot of money on their own. As always there will be something to do, the vendor has informed us that the sunroof does not work but in the greater scheme of things that is not a big problem. When you see this BMW, it pales very much into the background.
If you are in the market for an E24 Coupe, this may well be the one for you. You may have to go a long way to find another one as nice as this. These early examples are becoming very rare and can only go up in value. Don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself.
