The Ariel Arrow presents in an attractive Blue and Gold colour scheme and is powered by a 250cc engine. ‘YXX 458’ was first registered in the UK on 2nd April 1960 and is recorded as having one former keeper prior to 2018. Historical records also suggest that the motorcycle may have been registered overseas at some point, and a buff logbook on file provides additional information on its earlier ownership. A duplicate buff logbook issued in 1973 by the Greater London Council lists Mr. Smyllie of Hounslow, London, as the owner at that time. The bike later passed to Mr. Woollcott of Wallington, Surrey, and subsequently to Mr. King of Coulsdon, Surrey, in 1974. It remains unclear when, where, or even if the bike was actually taken overseas, but it is notable that the original registration number remains with the machine.

Overall, the paintwork presents well, with a few minor marks on the tank. The bike is described as a nicely restored example. Several maintenance invoices accompany the motorcycle, including two from 2021 for £55.73 and £975, and one from 2022 for £300. The tyres appear to be ‘new’ and are fitted to aluminium‑rims, while the leather seat is also in good condition. A comprehensive set of paperwork is included, featuring the current V5C, older images, the original buff logbook, and a previous MOT certificate from 2018 recording just 16 miles, although the odometer reading is likely to have been reset at some point.
