Superformance Cobras are well known for their build quality and authenticity of dimensions in producing some of the best modern Shelby replicas available today. Established in 1992 by entrepreneur Jim Price who created then parent company Hi-Tech Automotive Ltd. Superformance cars are built in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and has 15 dealers in the USA. Hillbank Automotive Group of Irvine, CA manages and controls the company today as well as handling most of the builds for the US production cars. The company is the only authorized manufacturer of Shelby replicas and produces the Cobra 427, 289, GT40, and Daytona Coupe. Prices today for a MK III rolling chassis start at around $100,000 and with motor and gearbox total costs start around $130,000 for completed Cobras with many options available for personalization and powertrain choices.

This beautiful Cobra MK III was built in 2006 and is finished in striking Dark Silver Metallic with Silver Stripes and Black leather interior. Options fitted include: Roush 402ci carbureted, aluminum V8 producing 519hp/500lb ft of torque, 5-Speed Tremec TKO gearbox, 17-inch polished Halibrand style knock-off wheels w/ Nitto NT555 G2 high performance tires 275/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 in the rear, passenger roll bar hoop, soft top, tonneau cover, polished quick lifts, Silver jetcoated headers and side pipes, polished header tank, Shelby signed glove box, wood steering wheel, fire extinguisher, battery cut off switch, carpeted logo floor mats with stripes, clear bra on rear fender edges, and LED headlamps. Total MSRP when new was $102,655.

The current owner purchased the car through Hillbank in 2020 and has only put around 1000 miles since. The car is currently titled/licensed in CA as a 1965 Cobra. Recent service work performed here in our shop includes: oil change, coolant flush, brake fluid/clutch fluid flush, new clutch slave cylinder, fuel system flush with new filter, and a fresh detailing. The car runs and drives excellent with all items functioning in good condition.
