Mercedes SL65 AMG

OMG!! Everyone knows what these three letters mean, and it’s a term that’s heard regularly when people come face to face with this Mercedes. What a beast of a car, and what a car that’s just right. Even when stationary, it looks like it’s going fast, which is undoubtedly a characteristic of cars that have been worked on by Mercedes’ AMG division. The first thing that stands out is the beautiful classic color scheme in silver gray with a black interior, just like the legendary Silberpfeilen used to be. Upon closer inspection, in addition to the beautiful two-piece alloy wheels, the logos on the side also stand out: V12 biturbo!

Only a limited number of 3,055 cars were produced in this version, making it a very exclusive car. It was equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine with twin turbochargers, delivering a power output of around 600 hp and an unprecedented torque of no less than 1,000 Nm. The engine was coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. A seven-speed transmission was already available at the time, but it simply could not withstand the enormous torque of the V12 engine. Incidentally, this torque of 1000 Nm was not achieved by chance; Mercedes had electronically limited the engine because it would otherwise deliver even more torque. The five-speed transmission was the only option that could safely transfer the 1000 Nm.

This car also offered plenty of luxury. In addition to all the electronic safety features, the SL65s were equipped with almost every option available. The list is too long to mention here. The car we are offering on behalf of the owner was first registered in Germany in March 2006 as a company car for DaimlerChrysler AG in Munich, as evidenced by the maintenance booklet. The car was not imported into the Netherlands until 2024 and has been in the hands of the current owner ever since. With a mileage of 99,950 km, this car has just been run in and is ready for many sporty kilometers in the hands of its next enthusiastic caretaker. It is completely damage-free and is in beautiful original condition in our showroom.
