  • Full factory Ducati World Superbike
  • Race winning bike at Misano 2021
  • Mechanically refreshed by Ducati Team
  • Official Aruba.it Racing Ducati team machine
  • A rare opportunity to acquire a genuine Ducati Corse factory World Superbike

We are grateful to the Vendor for providing the following information:

“There are very few motorcycles that represent the pinnacle of modern superbike engineering like Ducati’s Panigale V4 R World Superbike, and fewer still are genuine factory race machines released directly from Ducati Corse.

Offered here is a 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 R Factory World Superbike, ridden during the 2021 FIM Superbike World Championship season by Michael Rinaldi, factory rider for Aruba.it Racing - Ducati, the official Ducati works team.

This motorcycle is designated MR2 (Michael Rinaldi 2) and is believed to be one of the team’s race machines used during the 2021 championship season, including the celebrated Misano round, where Rinaldi delivered one of the most memorable performances of the year.

At Round 3 of the 2021 World Superbike Championship at Misano, Rinaldi dominated the weekend aboard the Ducati Panigale V4 R, securing:

  • Race 1 - 1st Place
  • Race 2 - 2nd Place
  • Superpole Race - 1st Place

Ducati Corse Provenance

Following the completion of its racing duties, the motorcycle was mechanically refreshed and checked by Ducati Corse before being released from the factory racing programme.

Importation into the United Kingdom was carried out with assistance from Paolo Ciabatti, then Sporting Director of Ducati Corse, helping to confirm the machine’s factory origin and provenance.

As with most factory race machines like this, the bike comes with a non-disclosure agreement relating to Ducati Corse proprietary components and technology.

Technical Specification (Factory WSBK Configuration)

Developed to compete at the highest level of international superbike racing, the Ducati Panigale V4 R World Superbike is derived from the homologation road machine but extensively re-engineered by Ducati Corse.

Engine

  • Ducati Desmosedici Stradale R V4
  • Approximately 235-240 horsepower
  • Race-spec internal components and gearbox

Electronics

  • Ducati Corse WSBK race ECU
  • Ducati Corse race dashboard
  • Adjustable traction control, engine braking and torque maps

Weight is regulated to the WorldSBK minimum of approximately 168 kg, enabling performance approaching 320 km/h (200 mph) on fast circuits.

Condition

Following its retirement from competition, the motorcycle was:

  • Mechanically refreshed by Ducati Corse
  • Preserved in full race specification
  • Maintained as a collector and display machine

As is typical with factory race motorcycles, the bike is supplied without road homologation or warranty and is intended for display, demonstration, or private track use.

Significance

Factory World Superbike machines are produced in extremely limited numbers and are rarely offered to the public.

This example is particularly desirable due to:

  • Direct Ducati Corse provenance
  • Ridden by factory rider Michael Rinaldi
  • Race-winning history at Misano
  • Official Aruba.it Racing Ducati team machine

With modern World Superbike motorcycles increasingly recognised as collectable racing items, examples of genuine factory machines are attracting growing interest from collectors and motorsport historians.

Summary

A rare opportunity to acquire a genuine Ducati Corse factory World Superbike, raced by Michael Rinaldi during the 2021 World Superbike Championship and associated with his celebrated victories at Misano.

Machines of this level represent the very forefront of modern racing technology and are rarely available outside factory collections.

  • Factory Ducati Corse World Superbike
  • Michael Rinaldi race machine (#21)
  • Misano race-winning provenance
  • Ducati Corse mechanical refresh
