The 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (992.1) is often considered the "sweet spot" of the 992 range, bridging the gap between the Carrera S and the more track-focused GT3. It's powered by the legendary 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 473bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 30bhp over the Carrera S and offers 0-60 in 3.1 seconds. It sits some 10mm lower than the standard Carrera and is fitted as standard with the GTS-specific tuned PASM Sport suspension working in partnership with the high-performance braking system derived directly from the 911 Turbo. Transmission options were an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic (as here) or a 7-speed manual transmission.

Offered directly from the family of Chris Rea, this 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS S-A presents an opportunity as compelling as it is rare: a virtually delivery-mileage example of one of Stuttgart’s most coveted modern driver’s cars, enhanced immeasurably by its celebrated ownership.

Supplied new by Porsche Centre Cardiff and finished in an understated yet purposeful Slate Grey Neo enhanced by blacked-out exterior accents, darkened LED headlights and the SportDesign package as standard. The black hide and Alcantara (Race-Tex) interior perfectly encapsulates the marque’s duality—track-honed performance with genuine everyday usability. Acquired by Chris Rea in June 2023, it has remained within his personal collection ever since, used sparingly and cherished accordingly.

Today the odometer records a scarcely believable 1,258 miles, placing this example firmly in the upper echelon of collectability for the 992-generation GTS. Such minimal use, combined with its provenance, elevates it beyond mere transport into the realm of investment-grade desirability.

Specification is both comprehensive and carefully judged, including the SportDesign Package, GT Sport multifunction steering wheel, tilt-and-slide glass roof, BOSE sound system, cruise control, and striking 20/21-inch centre-lock multi-spoke alloy wheels, still fitted with their factory Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.

Porsche Reading have confirmed that the GTS was serviced by them on 5/02/2025 at 1,174 miles and the current MOT is valid until March 2027. The car has spent extended periods in storage and, as such, we sensibly recommend light recommissioning and a routine service prior to regular use.

A rare convergence of iconic ownership, negligible mileage and the inherent brilliance of the GTS badge—this is a 911 that speaks as eloquently to the collector as it does to the enthusiast.
