Chassis No. AM109*196*
Engine No. AM109*196*

Built on 28 November 1964, this dashing Mistral was sent to Cornacchia Automobili of Milan, Italy, in elegant Grigio Flemington (Dark Grey) with a Pelle Cinghiale (Dark Brown Leather) interior and Borrani wire wheels. Maserati Historical Information shows that its first owner took delivery on 13 April 1965, with a history report written by the current owner showing that it later passed to Dr. Puili in 1968. The report then shows that Puili subsequently imported it to Canada in 1972, and regularly drove it until 1988, when it was placed into storage. After remaining in storage for 21 years, the car was acquired by Colin Craig of Vancouver in 2009. Minor restoration work was carried out under his direction until 2011, when the car was brought back to Europe by Leo Peschl of Düsseldorf, Germany.

In 2015, the car entered the collection of its current owner, who commissioned a comprehensive restoration by Lettl Automobile of Eggenfelden,Germany. A valuation report completed on 23 November 2020, confirming the restoration's completion, by Ingenieurbüro Brunner GmbH, states that the car was “restored in an exceptionally professional and meticulous manner.” The report confirms that the original matching-numbers engine was completely overhauled with new pistons, along with the transmission being completely resealed after a detailed inspection found it to be in good overall condition. Additional detailed attention was given to the suspension, brakes, and electrical systems. Cosmetically, the aluminum bodywork was stripped and returned to factory specification, with consistent panel gaps throughout, and the paintwork was described as being of ''absolutely excellent quality.'' Inside, the same attention was afforded the rare Mistral, with the interior retrimmed in fresh Dark Brown Leather as originally specified.

Benefiting from a comprehensive restoration, this Mistral must rank as one of the finest examples of this grand touring coupe currently on offer. It is a well-positioned example for a concours showing, or the ideal way to create a memorable weekend getaway in fabulous 1960s style.
