Chassis No. B24S-1149
Engine No. 1203

One of only 181 examples ever built, this Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America was completed on 14 October 1955, finished in Grigio (Grey) over a black leather interior, and, like most, was originally destined for the American market. A former Italian registration document issued in 1994 reveals that it was re-imported from the United States in 1989, wearing the registration number “N 487T,” and was later acquired in 1999, through his companies, by Emilio “Chicco” Gnutti, the Italian billionaire renowned for his passion for motorsport, expressed through an impressive collection that included this Aurelia, and through his investment in Formula 1 with the Scuderia Italia team, which later evolved into Minardi. During his ownership, the car received regular inspections every two years from 2001 to 2013, all yielding an “esito regolare,” or compliant result, as indicated by the stickers on the registration document. Photocopies of its FIVA and ASI Identity Cards, issued in Gnutti's name, also accompany the car.

In 2015, the car was exported from Italy to nearby Monaco, the principality perched on a rocky promontory along the Mediterranean Sea, before being acquired in 2018 by its current owners, still in the same region, likely following the ancient route of the Via Aurelia-from which the car takes its name-that once connected Rome, Italy, to Arles, France, along the French Riviera.

In December 2025, its owners entrusted the Aurelia to Garage Moneghetti for a mechanical restoration, which encompassed a full overhaul and fine-tuning of the carburetion system-including the Weber carburetor, fuel tank, and pump-refurbishment of the radiator and its hoses, restoration of the braking system, attention to the engine, suspension and front shock absorbers, replacement of belts, gearbox oil change, and renewal of spark plugs, filters, and fluids. A few weeks later, in February 2026, Garage Moneghetti was tasked with preparing the car to concours standards. The Aurelia was fully stripped, repainted in the blue it already wore, fitted with a new alpaca and vinyl soft top, and received a complete interior restoration with full-grain smooth beige leather seats, beige leather-trimmed door panels, and all new blue carpeting edged in leather. Several invoices and photographs documenting the work are included in the file.

This Aurelia B24S Spider America, a model chosen as the personal car of Battista “Pinin” Farina himself, fresh from meticulous care in the opening months of 2026, allows its next owner to fully appreciate the exceptional character it has carried since the 1950s.
