Chassis No. ZFFDT57B000137978
Developed as a road-going distillation of Maranello's one-make Ferrari Challenge race program, the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale effectively “Enzo-ized the 360” in the words of Road & Track magazine. The ride height was lowered by 15 mm, with a stiffer suspension, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and 19-inch wheels to match. Carbon fiber trim and seat shells, lighter glass, and titanium suspension components helped pare approximately 110 kilograms versus a standard Modena, while the mid-mounted V8 and F1 gearbox delivered an additional 25 CV for a total output of 425 CV. Through its distinctive bi-modal exhaust system, the naturally aspirated engine unleashed a brutal howl that left no doubt-this was no ordinary 360. For many enthusiasts, the Stradale was and continues to remain the holy grail of 2000s sports cars.
This breathtaking Challenge Stradale is one of the approximately 1,300 built, and according to the Challenge Stradale Registry, is the only example to have left the factory finished in Blu Pozzi 521 D.S.-a rich dark blue named for famous Ferrari importer and racing driver, Charles Pozzi. This exceptionally rare hue was paired with warm Beige Connolly leather upholstery trimming the lower dashboard and carbon-fiber sports seats, a specification the registry confirms is shared by no other Blu Pozzi example, making chassis 137978 a true one-of-one specification. Optional four-point racing harnesses complement the focused cabin, while a silver dedication plaque on the driver's door remains uninscribed.
Chassis 137978 was issued its Certificate of Conformity on 26 May 2003, and the original service and warranty booklet notes that it was delivered via Ferrari Autohaus Ulrich GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany, on 11 June 2004. Thereafter, the service booklet reflects a notably diligent pattern of official dealer maintenance spanning roughly two decades. Early entries were recorded by the selling dealer and document remarkably consistent attention: June 2005 (1,204 km), July 2006 (2,060 km), June 2007 (3,188 km), June 2009 (4,110 km), and March 2010 (4,529 km)-placing this among the most conscientiously serviced 360 Challenge Stradales for its mileage. From 2011, servicing was continued in the Netherlands by Munsterhuis Sportscars B.V. of Hengelo, whose stamps recur throughout the following decade, while later maintenance was entrusted to Official Ferrari Dealer Kroymans Automotive in Hilversum. During this period, the booklet records official Ferrari scheduled maintenance entries, with the most recent entry made in September 2024. Supporting Dutch service records further substantiate the car's maintenance history since 2011, including a timing belt service in 2022 and replacement of the front tires in 2024.
Now showing just 25,152 kilometers at the time of cataloging, chassis 137978 presents as a compelling example of one of Ferrari's most celebrated modern special-series models. As collectors continue to place greater emphasis on desirable specifications, chassis 137978's singular Blu Pozzi over Beige Connolly leather color combination sets it even further apart, offering a sophisticated and highly unusual alternative to the more familiar Rosso Scuderia hue. The chassis and undercarriage were ice-blasted in March 2026, while a concurrent professional detail has brought the car to a near-new standard from end to end. Backed by an impressively documented service history, this is a particularly collectible and captivating Stradale for the knowledgeable Ferrari collector who recognizes the ever-increasing appeal of Maranello's most focused road cars.
