Description
Stratton Motor Company are delighted to be able to offer this remarkable iconic classic, the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 that has recently arrived in stock.

Although an evolution of the DB4 it is now revered in its own right, famous above all other Astons - wholly because of its role in the James Bond film franchise.

In looks it was virtually identical to the DB4 Series 5 Vantage; the main change being the increase in capacity to 4.0 litre with the option of a 5-speed gearbox which soon became standard.

Although produced over 3 years from 1963 to 1966 only 1,023 models ever rolled out of the Newport Pagnell site, so rarer than its counterparts the DB4 and DB6

This particular model is remarkable and has had a 'full' body off restoration by renowned Aston Martin restorers GTC-Engineering under the guide of John Winsor at their premises near Silverstone with incredible attention to detail. It has to be one of the best examples of this iconic classic seen at Stratton Motor Company and is a testament to the craftsmen that have carried out the restoration with forensic detail.

Finished in an unblemished Silver Birch, for some the one and only DB5 colour choice, with a beautifully finished and fully refurbished soft matt black leather interior. 5 Speed gearbox upgrade fitted.

The charm, prestige and historical importance of this car cannot be understated and it has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
