The Bentley Continental V8 GTC traces its roots to Bentley’s modern revival under the Volkswagen Group, which helped transform the brand into a global luxury powerhouse in the early 2000s. Introduced in 2012 as a more efficient alternative to the W12-powered Continental models, the V8 GTC combined traditional Bentley craftsmanship with improved fuel economy and a slightly sportier character. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, shared with other Volkswagen Group performance brands, delivered strong performance (500 hp, 487 lb-ft torque) while appealing to a broader market concerned with efficiency. The epitome of a modern Bentley, the Continental V8 GTC has maintained the brand’s core identity - effortless speed, refined comfort, and handcrafted luxury.

We are delighted to offer this 2013 Bentley Continental GTC V8 in Onyx Pearl with black hood and Portland / Beluga interior. First registered in June 2013, it was supplied by Charles Hurst Bentley in Belfast and wears its Northern Irish plate with pride. Pleasingly, it combines a low mileage with regular maintenance and the service book records an enviable history - PDI plus 10 services. The majority of stamps are from Bentley dealers with the last couple of services being carried out by Bentley specialists, FJP Motors of Nottingham. The vendor has just MOT’d the GTC before bringing it in, so it has a full 12 months with no advisories.

This is a stunning example to look at, roof up or down. The condition is lovely and it’s clearly been looked after. The silver 20” alloys have black centres to tie in with the rest of the colour scheme. They’re free of kerb damage and wrapped in the sort of high quality rubber you would want to see on a high performance car - Pirelli P Zeros all round. These GTC roofs are something special, triple layered with a super thick middle layer to provide maximum acoustic and thermal insulation and an inner layer which hides all the mechanical parts. Indeed, when inside you would think you were in coupe rather than a convertible. This one appears to be in excellent order with no obvious damage or staining to the outer layer and has been up and down without issue whilst with us. The cabin is striking in all the right ways, with the two-tone Portland with Beluga leather really lifting what could have been quite a dark cabin. Piano black wood gives it a very contemporary feel and sets off all the lovely chrome detailing. The original owner clearly had great taste when speccing the paint and trim and their choice of options was similarly impressive. Bentley UK have kindly provided us with a specification sheet indicating that the box was ticked for front massage seats with ventilation and neck warmers, wind deflector, rear view camera and centre console storage case. Don’t forget that this was on top of the already incredibly high specification that came as standard on what would have been a £115k convertible - this Continental wants for nothing.

The Bentley comes with V5C, current and some previous MOTs, leather-bound handbook and service book, sat nav DVD, 2 keys and wind deflector.

It’s widely accepted by motoring journalists that the V8 is the sweet spot of Bentley’s Continental range. Lighter weight, less complexity and cheaper maintenance give it the edge for many over the W12, yet it remains mightily powerful, creamily smooth and entirely in-keeping for the brand. To our eyes, the specification and optioning of this particular example is just perfect and it has clearly been cherished. With a very sensible estimate, it presents an opportunity to look like you won the Lottery but without breaking the bank.
