The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a car sold by Volkswagen between 1955 and 1974 as a 2+2 coupe or convertible. With the combination of the chassis and mechanics of the Type 1 (Beetle), styling by Luigi Segre of the Italian Carrozzeria Ghia and hand-built bodywork by the German coachbuilder Karmann.
