The Alpina B7 Turbo Coupe was introduced in 1978, making it the first BMW 6 Series to be modified by Alpina. Behind the distinctive “shark nose” lay a modified 3,5-liter inline six-cylinder engine fitted with a turbocharger, resulting in a power output of 330 hp—a staggering 330 hp for its time. The B7 was available with a close-ratio five-speed gearbox or a five-speed manual with overdrive. Depending on the model year, Alpina claimed acceleration to 100 km/h in 5,9 or 6,7 seconds and a top speed of 250 or 265 km/h. Classic Alpinas are incredibly popular right now, and prices for good examples are skyrocketing. The example shown here is the 292nd unit produced by Alpina based on the BMW 635. It was delivered in white with a beautiful black leather interior. Inside, this car looks like new. It is a car delivered in Italy and has been driven there its entire life. A unique opportunity to buy a super rare 635 Alpina!
