  • Harris Grand Prix was established by Les and Steve Harris in 1972 in Essex, producing replacement frames for race bikes, mainly for Yamaha at first but then Kawasaki and Suzuki amongst others
  • The successful collaborations led to the highly successful Magnum frame that could be adapted to fit most Japanese engines
  • This particular frame was the Harris Magnum prototype, used by the factory and raced in order to further develop it
  • Built in 1977 and raced by Andy Goldsmith, Mike Trimby and Marty Lunde during 1977 and 1978
  • The bike raced at the 1978 Bol D'or and finished in 12th place
  • Fitted with a Kawasaki Z1 1,000cc engine (probably bored to 1,179cc)
  • Presented in very much kit condition, including frame, engine, fuel tank, seat unit, new Harris exhaust system and 17-inch Astralite wheels
  • Large document file containing letters from Steve Harris confirming the frame along with various other photographs, letters and receipts
