The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is one of the most iconic luxury automobiles ever produced by the prestigious British manufacturer. Introduced in 1965, the Silver Shadow represented a major departure from Rolls-Royce tradition, featuring a modern monocoque construction rather than the separate chassis used on earlier models. By 1970, the model had firmly established itself as a symbol of elegance, sophistication, and engineering excellence. Powered by a smooth and powerful V8 engine, the Silver Shadow delivered effortless performance while maintaining the refined driving experience for which Rolls-Royce was renowned. One of the car's most advanced features was its hydraulic self-levelling suspension system, licensed from Citroën, which ensured exceptional ride comfort regardless of road conditions. The exterior design of the Silver Shadow combined understated luxury with timeless styling. Inside, occupants were surrounded by handcrafted materials, including rich leather upholstery, polished walnut veneers, and thick carpeting, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail synonymous with the Rolls-Royce name. Originally registered on 3rd February 1970, this Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow presents very well in Caribbean Blue with blue leather interior. This is a good genuine example that runs and drives well, with no known faults. The car sits well and the braking system operates as it should. The 6230cc V8 engine runs smoothly and the gearbox operates as it should. The paintwork has obviously been refreshed at some stage (the car is 56 years old !), although this has been done to a good standard, the leather interior appears to be original and has been well cared for as it has a lovely patina. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a good collection of invoices, this Silver Shadow I is a nice, genuine example that is realistically estimated. More than fifty years after its production, the Silver Shadow continues to embody the luxury, refinement, and exclusivity that have defined the Rolls-Royce marque for generations.
