First registered in the UK on 1st November 2021, this diminutive ‘woody’-styled Mini Countryman has clearly spent a significant part of its life elsewhere. Repatriated to the UK in 2018, following many years in the car-friendly climate of Texas, there are clues ‘JWE910C’ began as a mainland Europe example prior to the USA as it wears a ‘km’ speedo and there is a French ‘Certificat d’assurance’ sticker in the windscreen. There is a copy of the Texas US title on file, which also suggests that ‘JWE’ may previously have spent time in California, specifically around the Culver City area of Hollywood. The Mini was repatriated to the UK in 2018 and subsequently dry stored as part of a private collection. It was later purchased by the current owners, who have continued to keep it in dry storage.
Powered by a 998cc ‘A’ Series engine allied to the manual gearbox, the Mini has been converted from left-hand drive to right-hand drive configuration. We are advised that expenditure in 2021 appears to relate to this conversion, including the fitment of a new front rack-and-pinion steering assembly in July 2021. The braking system has also been upgraded to Mini Cooper front disc brakes in the same period.
‘JWE’ is offered with a current V5 Registration Document, along with a quantity of supporting paperwork, NOVA documentation, a copy of the Texas Title, MOT test certificates and a quantity of invoices from 2021. Two keys are also present. This is a wonderful opportunity to own the original version of the Mini Countryman, and an example that has been in a sympathetic climate.
