1986 BMW M3 Coupe
£82,158.82 | €95,000.00 | $110,266.42

This very first M3 is based on the 1986 E30 3-series. The first generation had a 2.3L BMW S14 engine with 200 hp. The main reason for the production of the M3 was to compete with the Mercedes-Benz W201. A remarkable feature of the M3 E30 is its racing heritage, not only with BMW itself, but also with racing and rally teams such as the English Prodive and the German AC Schnitzer Motorsport. Later, "Evolution" models were introduced with a power output of 215 hp. In the final year of production (1990-1991), "Sport Evolution" models were released that delivered 238 hp with a 2.5L engine. Additionally, 786 M3 convertibles were hand-built at the request of customers. This made it the fastest four-seater convertible. The car, however, was not designed for racing. Unlike the then-existing M5 and the subsequent M3s, the E30 M3 had an inline four-cylinder. The prototype experimented with a 3,5-liter 24-valve inline six-cylinder engine from the M5 E28.
