Once built in an era when design was still drawn by hand and every line had a purpose, this special convertible was lovingly owned by a private individual for years before finding its way to us in Berlin, the city where the Borgward brand once established its name. The Isabella Convertible is no everyday sight. Relatively few were built at the time, and today it is a car you rarely encounter on the road or at a concours. Whoever owns one owns a piece of automotive history that almost no one else has. Carefully restored to the essence. This car arrived at our workshop with a solid foundation, but bearing the marks of time—small scratches and paint damage that bore witness to years of faithful use. We chose not to force anything, but to do everything necessary to make this Isabella shine again as it was meant to: • Completely repainted in the original, timeless Ivory White, a color that perfectly complements the elegant lines of the 50s • Braking system completely overhauled, for the driving pleasure and safety befitting a car like this • Interior expertly restored, preserving the character of the original • Engine overhauled, with an eye for long-term reliability • New radiator with increased cooling capacity, so that this classic can keep running smoothly even on hot days • Various parts replaced or repaired, always with the goal of bringing this car back to a truly high level • New tires fitted, for handling characteristics that do justice to the chassis The total restoration and repair costs amount to over €45.
